Location Page Updated!

         Which some of you may have already noticed!

         This past weekend we held a meeting at the AniZona location, Paradise Valley Embassy Suites.  I've seen it a few times now, and each time I think to myself, 'Wow Kevin, this is a great place for a convention!'  I can imagine the people in the hallways, fun panels happening in the programming rooms, where the events could be held, the size of the dealer room, and the openness of the information and registration areas.  We held our meeting in the room that will be the karaoke room, right next to con-suite!

         One thing we are definitely trying to do is maximize our space without making it feel too crowded.  I admit, 1000 people at the location will get mighty crowded.  However, that is a challenge we are willing to meet.

         We took a break mid-day for some lunch.  We were able to find a handful of choices of places to eat all within walking distance.  We chose IHOP!  Interestingly, I don't like their pancakes.  Across the street there's Paradise Valley Mall!  I remember a few months ago I mentioned people could walk around the mall in cosplay.  That would just be the coolest thing ever!  I like the look on peoples' faces.

         The location is soooo central!!!  What do you all think?

         This weekend AniZona not only has the regular monthly meeting, we are also getting together on Saturday for an all-day ConRunner's party!  We will be meeting at our lovely convention location, the Paradise Valley Embassy Suites, for an in-depth look at the guts behind the scenes at conventions.  Want to see the source of all the politics, drama, and stress within any convention?  Bring your questions, learn what is at the gut of each of these fantastic events you go to.

Rollerskating!

         Hello again everyone!  Tomorrow, Sunday, there is a rollerskating event going on in Chandler!  It is being organized by Christian Fans of Anime, and a few of us will be going to have fun.  We figure skating is fun, japanese music is great, and both together rock!  Come join everyone at Skateland in Chandler at the crossroads of Ray and Alma School from 4:30 to 7.

         We will also be giving out two more passes to the Bleach movie as a prize while there.  Come join us!

Bleach Contest Announcement!

         Hello there crazy-cool anime fan-people!  If you look off to the left side here you'll notice a banner for the new Bleach movie coming to select theaters on June 11th and 12th!  Fathom Events will be bringing us all sorts of new movies and shows to theaters, and it is about time!  Many of you prolly went to see the Deathnote movie last month.

         To celebrate this event, we are planning a little contest for you!  We have tickets, and we will be giving them away.  Naturally, there is a catch.  There's a little bit of Bleach trivia involved!  Also, since these movies are playing in Arizona, you must be in Arizona.  That'll make more sense once I tell you about how you can go about winning these tickets...

         In a couple days we will post a trivia question right here.  In addition, we will tell you where in the valley you can go to answer that question!  If you are the first person on location with the correct answer, you will win a pair of tickets.
